Oliver Getley

b. 1996, Stafford, UK. Based in Leeds.

Oliver Getley works between London and Leeds. His sculptural practice is concept and process driven. He uses collaborative and improvisatory techniques to experiment across projects using sound, technology and site-responsive exhibition making. A central concern of his practice is the creation of sculptural encounters through a reverse engineering of objects and sites, using formal approaches to found material.

Recent projects

Exhibitions include waiting, LAX, Leeds, 2025, and Leeds Artist Show, Leeds Art Gallery, 2023. Oliver is a founding member of LAX, 2024-ongoing, and Freehold Projects, 2019-20, and has participated in New Artist Collective, UKNA, 2025, Sculpture Network, YSI, 2022, and Into the Wild, Chisenhale, 2020.
