About Us

Yimin Xiang

b. 1994, China. Based in Glasgow.

Yimin Xiang is an artist, printmaker and researcher pursuing a PhD at the Glasgow School of Art. His research explores the intersection of historical and digital printmaking techniques, examining how printmaking can document and preserve ephemeral experiences. He works with digital images, turning them into physical prints that reflect on how images are copied, shared, and valued today.

My practice is centred on printmaking and its relationship with archives, images, and digital culture. Simply put, I’m interested in how print can capture fleeting experiences and give them a renewed presence. I’m inspired by images in circulation, fragments of memory and objects in flux.

Exhibitions include

Yimin's solo exhibition, An Obscure Endeavour, 2023, was held at Dong Dong Dong, and he exhibited and participated in the SGSAH Research Showcase, 2025, RSA Annual Exhibition, 2025, Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair, 2024, and Glasgow International, 2024.
