About Us

Samantha Fellows

b. 1971, USA. Based in London.

Samantha Fellows is a figurative artist whose work is concerned with capturing split-second moments: the sense of a fleeting experience held indelibly in the layering of glassy colour over a slick surface. She slides translucent glazes of oil paint over the shiny, slippy surface, brushing and wiping back, until the image, and accompanying sense of something, is secured.

Recent projects

Exhibitions include Taste, OHSH/Wönzimer gallery, Los Angeles 2024 and When the Curtain Falls, Blue Shop Gallery, London 2024. Fellows was long listed for the Contemporary British Painting Prize in 2024 and shortlisted for the Cass Award in 2025.
